The Challenge
Icomm Technologies was commissioned to upgrade CAP’s IT system to support its ongoing development and expansion programme. It needed a system that would increase efficiency levels, reduce costs, create a faster email and Internet link between CAP’s two sites in Tipton and West Bromwich and allow for the integration of additional remote sites.
Specifically, it had to enable CAP to respond to increasing customer demand for the latest computer generated designs and to meet the ‘fast track’ requirements of many commercial projects.
The Solution
As one of only a few selected INTY approved installers in the UK, Icomm Technologies was able to recommend an INTY package to CAP.
By installing two INTY servers, Icomm has saved CAP an estimated £3,360 per annum on its phone bill and rental costs. This was achieved by providing faster Internet connection at both offices and by implementing a VPN between the sites.
Being an inter-managed service, the system can be easily accessed by remote users without any additional costs.
Other benefits included ongoing technical support, plus comprehensive hardware and software warranties and upgrades.
