Icomm Lands ‘Significant’ Legal Deal
Birmingham service provider, Icomm, has made significant headway into the region’s legal sector after delivering a full IT ‘facelift’ to leading multi-disciplined solicitors, Silks.
Silks, a nationally recognised firm who operate from three offices in Oldbury, Netherton and Smethwick, appointed Icomm for a complete IT overhaul.

Icomm installed a new IT infrastructure consisting of a new PC suite to furnish 70 users, an updated server and a front office system. Engineers were despatched to each of Silks’ three sites in turn to remove all the old kit and install new machines. The team migrated the data from the old infrastructure to the new before switching all the staff to the new system, ensuring ‘downtime’ and disruption was kept to a minimum.

Our primary concern was to keep productivity flowing and maintain a high level of service whilst the new systems were installed.

The new IT infrastructure and furnishing each site with new, state of the art workstations, including a high speed and secure infrastructure was fully installed in only three weeks. The updated systems have boosted our productivity in both services and process.”
